Privacy Policy

LedgerLookout ("we", "us") is a service operated by Pratik Poddar, an individual based in India. This policy explains what data LedgerLookout collects, why, and what we do with it.

1. Data we read from your TallyPrime company

The LedgerLookout Windows agent runs on the PC where TallyPrime is installed and reads, from the TallyPrime company you connect: vouchers (date, number, type, party, amounts, payment mode, narration), ledgers (names, groups, balances, party PAN/GSTIN, MSME registration and TDS details where present), stock items, and cash and bank balances. Party PAN and GSTIN are personal or business identifiers of your customers and suppliers; we read them only because they are stored in your ledgers and needed to find possible tax issues and send you findings, alerts and the monthly CA pack.

The agent keeps a local copy (snapshot) on that PC to detect changes. It does not change any entry in TallyPrime.

2. Data you give us

  • Your name, business name, email address and (optionally) mobile number — from the early-access form or sign-up.
  • Your phone's push-notification subscription (a technical address issued by your phone's browser) when you add the LedgerLookout web app to your home screen and allow notifications.

3. How we use it

Only to find possible tax issues and send you findings, alerts and the monthly CA pack, to run and support your account, and to bill you if you choose Pro. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or show ads.

4. Where it is stored and who processes it

  • Transfer: data is sent from the agent to our cloud over HTTPS (encrypted in transit).
  • Hosting: our server code runs on Netlify (Netlify Functions) and data is stored in a Supabase Postgres database located in the United States (AWS us-east-1, North Virginia). By using LedgerLookout you agree to this storage outside India.
  • Notifications: alerts are delivered as web push notifications through your phone browser's push service (Google for Android Chrome, Apple for iPhone). Email copies are sent through Resend, our email provider.
  • Payments: Pro subscriptions are handled by Razorpay (UPI Autopay). We never see or store your card or UPI credentials; we receive only the subscription and payment status.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. When you close your account, email pratik.phodu@gmail.com and we will delete your data, including synced TallyPrime data, push subscriptions and contact details, within 30 days of the request. Payment records may be kept as required by law. To remove the local snapshot, uninstall the agent and delete its data folder on your PC.

6. Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, turn off notifications on your phone, or unsubscribe from emails at any time by writing to pratik.phodu@gmail.com.

7. Security

Each installation uses its own access key, data is encrypted in transit, and database access is restricted to our service. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you suspect a problem.
